What do we do?

  • Promote and protect access rights and paths within Scotland's world-leading access framework.

  • Help people build the confidence and knowledge to walk outdoors, with a particular focus on communities facing the greatest barriers.

  • Deliver the Ramblers' strategy in Scotland, reflecting Scotland's political, legal, social and geographical context.

  • Work closely with colleagues, the Scottish Government, public bodies and voluntary sector partners to increase walking opportunities and improve access to nature.

  • I love the huge variety of the work we do at Ramblers Scotland, from public campaigning to ensure our access rights are upheld, to providing practical support to people from excluded communities to help them get outdoors.
