What do we do?

  • Use policy thinking, influencing and community action to create equitable, inclusive and lasting change that enables more people to enjoy walking in England.

  • Lead the Ramblers' policy and public affairs work in England, helping to shape national and regional decision-making, with a focus on those with the least access and most barriers to access.

  • Support and establish projects and initiatives that enable more people to walk and improve access to local paths.

  • Work closely with colleagues and external organisations to advance policy goals, deliver projects and maximise their impact for walkers and communities.
